5 Habits to Help You Get Your Sh*t Together in 2018

It’s the new year. Everyone wants to become a better version of themselves, but making drastic changes to your lifestyle just isn’t sustainable. So, we asked our readers what they wanted to change the most in 2018, and we expanded on each one!

Replace “Sorry” for “Thank You”

Many of us find ourselves apologizing too often, unnecessarily. It’s weird! Change your ‘sorry’ to ‘thank you’. For example, if you’re taking extra time to put your cash back in your wallet at the grocery story, instead of saying “Sorry”, say “Thank you for being patient with me!”

It will stop the back and forth apologizing, and people like to feel appreciated, so a “Thank you” is a great alternative to do that!

Get Rid of the Sugary Drinks

It’s easy to consume things like Bai, Vitamin Water, Redbull, lemonade, or iced tea and not realize how much sugar is in each one. Did you know that a standard bottle of Vitamin Water has 32 grams of sugar? Crazy!

Instead, replace it with a subscription to hint water! 0 sugar, 0 calories, 0 sweeteners, and no ingredients you cannot pronounce. Just water and natural flavors from non-GMO plants.

Oh, and by the way, Hint is giving TheQuench readers a chance to get 30% off your first subscription to hint of 3 or more cases using this special link. Go forth, and stay hydrated!

Get More Zzz’s

As someone who lives a busy life, you probably underestimate how great a full night’s sleep can be. 8-9 hours will have you refreshed like no other.

Does it sound impossible? Check out some tips from our friends at Greatist on sleep, here. There’s apps, meditation routines, stretches, and more to help you be a better you the next day.

Get a Daily Sweat In

There are many reasons to get a daily sweat in. You get the endorphin rush, you think better, your skin glows brighter, you become more confident, and overall you feel great!

You can do things like the 10-Minute Ab Workout, or you can head to ClassPass and try the best workouts from strength training to cycling – and everything in between! Either way, remember that to become the best version of YOU, you need to work on yourself not only mentally and emotionally, but also physically!

Start Reading for 15-30 Minutes a Day

One of my best friends reads daily, and he’s a genius. I’m always envious of his knowledge on so many different topics. I picked up a book earlier this year that changed my life called The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson.

Whether you pick up a book, scroll through Popular Science, or read a newspaper, it’s important to challenge your mind to think from new perspectives and constantly be learning.

As Steve Jobs says, “Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.”

Before you leave, don’t forget Hint is giving TheQuench readers a chance to get 30% off your first subscription to hint of 3 or more cases using this special link. You can cancel whenever you’d like through their site, but it’s definitely worth trying!
