When we think Valentine’s Day, we think Romance films – Chick Flicks, Romantic Comedies, you name it! – we love to watch them anyway, so it’s the perfect excuse to bust one out!
The Notebook: Nicholas Sparks definitely owns the Chick Flick genre, and, in our opinion, The Notebook is his best film. Girls everywhere swooned over Allie and Noah’s love story—make sure you have tissues handy for this one!
Annie Hall: Annie Hall is a classic, while not your typical Romantic Comedy, the film is full of quirk and wit that is difficult not to love. It also won Best Picture at the 1978 Academy Awards, def worth a rent!
When Harry Met Sally: Another classic! When Harry Met Sally explores the age-old question, can men and women REALLY be friends?
Notting Hill: Notting Hill is every celeb-superfan’s dream come true. An every-man, bookstore owner begins a romance with one of the world’s biggest movie stars after a chance encounter.
10 Things I Hate about You: A modernization of William Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew makes Shakespeare fun! The film was a smash teen-hit and introduced the world to Heath Ledger, Julia Stiles, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Silver Linings Playbook: Ever since Silver Linings Playbook, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper have starred in many David O’Russell films together. There’s good reason for that, even though the movie is more of an off-beat romantic dramedy, their chemistry is palpable! See where it all began in the story of down and out of luck Pat Solatano and his dance partner, Tiffany.
Settlers of Catan
Dubbed as the “monopoly killer,” Settlers of Catan is a board game wherein players assume the roles of settlers, each attempting to build and develop holdings while trading and acquiring resources. The game first launched in 1996, and recently has become a cult-like hit.
How well do you REALLY know your friends? Play this game and find out! A game specially designed for women. The point of the game is to guess how your friends would react to hilarious dilemmas. For those of you familiar with Cards against Humanity, “What’s a dame to do?” is very much a “girl’s night in” version of the game. Like Cards Against Humanity, all players are asked to give reaction cards to a specific dilemma, and from those reactions, the funniest or best one is chosen!
Girly activities are usually synonymous with Spa activities – nothing wrong with that!

LUSH cosmetics has created a line of Valentine’s Day products that we absolutely love! Two of our favorites are the “Roses All the Way” soap and the “Unicorn Horn” Bubble Bar. LUSH describes the bubble bar as creating “a magical bath filled with beautiful essential oils, colorful pastel waters, rainbows and dreams.” Count us in!
Who doesn’t love getting mani/pedis! There are so many cool statement-making manicures out there today. They used to only be accessible through professional nail artists, but now there are kits that make it possible for us mere-mortals to participate in the trend! We really love these Ciate and Formula X kits that allow us to create sequined, foiled, or ombre manicures at home! Perfect for a girls night in!
